Operation Not Too Shabby was a rousing success and I took my staff out to Bluewood Skydining to celebrate.

I have a conversation with Tushabe the next day. It’s easy, natural. Halfway through, he starts grinning and I ask him why.

“Operation Not Too Shabby,” he says. “That name still makes me laugh.”

Well, shank. This oyo has me pinned. “How’d you find out?”

Tushabe waves a hand. “Oh, you know...hey, you’ve gotta see these pictures.”

He brings up images of my staff spying on Tushabe. Some of them are cringey beyond cringe. My staff is not nearly as sneaky as I thought.

Tushabe is laughing at the pictures. I realize he’s laughing at how bad the spying was, not so much laughing at catching me.

“You mad about this?” I finally ask.

He looks at me a little puzzled. “Mad? Why? This was fun.”
