Mission Epilogue
I’m beginning to see the genius in Ambassador Ekard’s recruitment. My athletes share several common traits.
The first is, they take action with confidence and with initiative. I rarely see anyone hesitate on what to do next. I see a drawback to this when they sometimes do not coordinate, but that issue is waning as they gain more experience side-by-side.
Second, they rarely panic.
Third, despite some of the frictions between them—Pavov and Mary Beth as prime example—they have a cooperative attitude in the arena. Cord is especially interesting here. He pushes his strategies hard outside the arena, demanding to be heard and followed. But then, when in the arena, he is deliberately careful not to start a war between anyone.
At least, until you make him Mission Leader. Then he gets rough.
