Mission 11: Bad Fairies 2/5

I’m about to remark on that when I notice Genni exiting the pool and hurrying to the showers. Billie reaches the pool edge and hurries after her.

Cord has approached Oreilli and is exchanging words. They aren’t friendly words. Oreilli gets out of the pool. He sits on a chair and covers his face with a towel. When he removes it, I’m thinking he doesn’t look well.

My assistant approaches me. “We may have a situation.”

The pool party dies down. A security woman is talking to Oreilli. I walk over.

“Oreilli, what happened?”

He shakes his head without looking up at me. “Nothing, it wasn’t...”

Four hours later, it’s midnight and I’m in conference with Minister Lev, some of my staff, and representatives of the Assembly.

“This was an assault, pure and simple,” says Lev. “He forcibly held her long after she started struggling, and then he hit her when she managed to pull away.”

“When does Dad space in?” I ask.

“Ambassador Ekard doesn’t return for another five or six days.”

“I’d like a chance to talk to the both of my athletes,” I say. It’s irritating me that I haven’t had access to either Genni or Oreilli.

“In the morning.”
