The spy operation—codenamed Operation Not Too Shabby—is pulled off perfectly by my gloriously devious staff. My one-on-one conversations go well with Tushabe, and some went longer than I expected.

In the end, my staff and I compare notes.

Tushabe clearly enjoys time alone, but while he rarely starts a conversation, he seems entirely happy engaging in one. He’s the type that doesn’t say much, but what does come out is quality.

He has a fast wit, coming up with some truly funny one-liners, and other jokes that are so subtle that it takes the others a moment to realize what he said. He will often cut off a smile during the talks. Our theory is that he is thinking of something funny, but decides not to share it with the others.

Tushabe doesn’t have any close friends at this point, but he is clearly liked by all the other athletes. He’s definitely not withdrawn. In fact, he may be the most relaxed of all my athletes.

There’s an especially interesting dynamic between Cord Domuuno and Tushabe. Cord openly dominates the other athletes. This includes Tushabe, but Tushabe has no problem telling Cord when he thinks Cord is wrong. Cord is not happy when he is told he is wrong—except when Tushabe does it. None of my staff can explain that.

Side note: Ezebel also has no problem telling Cord when he’s wrong. He hates this, and she doesn’t care.

Both Billie Cates and Angi Kyang show a clear romantic interest in Tushabe, but he hasn’t returned the favor as far as we can tell.
